In PETICO's current ChatGPT preview, comparison can work from observations supplied in the conversation. That is a comparison of those observations, not a lookup of everything in your PETICO account.
Keep the signal, unit, observation window and completeness beside each value. “My cat drank more” is an impression. “These are complete-day measured amounts in mL from two dated periods” gives a comparison a defined basis. An honest result can show a difference while leaving its cause unanswered.
Read the comparison guide or use the blank observation template. Both are useful without a PETICO connection.
What the current preview does—and what connection means

A question with a clear basis
Fictional question: “Compare complete-day measured drinking amounts from these two periods. Period A has 100, 110 and 120 mL. Period B has 140 and 150 mL. A separate 80 mL observation covers only part of a day. Show what you included.”
The complete-day means are 110 and 145 mL. The difference is 35 mL, or approximately 31.82% relative to A. There are three included days in A and two in B. The partial day stays visible but is excluded from the primary calculation.
This demonstrates arithmetic. It is not recommended intake, a diagnosis, or proof of the pet's usual pattern. It is also not a transcript of a real PETICO tool execution.
Build the story in PETICO
Daily observations answer “what was recorded today?” Health history and evidence answer “what else belongs in this pet's timeline?” Pet-aware AI needs the relevant context and its limits. The Care Network and PETICO Professional provide a separate path for owner–professional continuity.
ChatGPT can also work with information you provide and whatever context its service makes available. PETICO's contribution is a structured source about this pet over time. A conversational answer and a durable pet record serve different purposes.
